BRISTOL – Book lovers were anxious to get their fill on the final day of the Friends of the Bristol Public Library’s Annual Book Sale Sunday.
For the bargain price of $5, visitors to the main library could take home as many books as they could fit inside paper bags provided by the Friends.
“All these books were donated to us by the wonderful people of Bristol,” Co-chairwoman RoseAnn Chatfield said. “Our sale has been excellent. We’re so glad the weather cooperated. People really do come out for this.”
The sale opened with about 8,000 books and other media organized by genre during a preview night Wednesday.
