The Bristol Vein Treatment Center had its grand opening this week and will continue providing world class medical services to the communities it serves.
Starting June 14, the new state-of-the-art facility that is conveniently located within Hartford HealthCare’s Family Health Center is ready for patients and open for appointments at 860-229-VEIN (8346). Located on 22 Pine St. Suite 210 in Bristol, the new building is spacious, modern, and comfortable.
With easy accessibility to many other surrounding healthcare services, which includes primary care, physical rehabilitation, wound care, and other specialty areas, the new facility satisfies the Midstate Radiology Associate’s commitment to providing world class medical services to the local community.
“Bristol, CT ‘The All Heart City’ is one of those communities and we are very excited to better serve and coordinate care for our many patients in the region who struggle with vein disease,” said Tom Cappas, director of operations for Midstate Radiology Associates, in a released statement.
According to the vein centers, its mission is for patients to be happy and productive by eliminating their pain and enhancing their appearance.
“Minimally invasive, pain free vein therapy enables patients to immediately resume normal activities. Aesthetic services are often their logical next step to building their relationship with us,” they said. “It is the expectation for our patients to become symptom free. With symptomatic resolution, they can enjoy active, pain free lifestyles and enjoy a new found confidence in their improved appearance.”
For over 50 years, conventional vein stripping treatments resulted in pain, scarring, and long recovery times, according to the vein centers. Dr. Alfred Gladstone, a board-certified interventional radiologist, had been following the progress of new minimally invasive, quick recovery procedures for the treatment of vein disease.
As an opportunity to educate and serve the community of Central Connecticut, the vein centers began providing these new vein therapy techniques in an office setting, opening its practice in New Britain in 2004, eventually expanding to Madison in 2008 and Wallingford in 2017.
Midstate Radiology Associates acquired New Britain Radiological Associates in 2017 and expanded and upgraded the vein centers suite in Wallingford in August 2020.
Every initial consultation at vein centers starts off with a medical history, a focused physical examination, a diagnostic ultrasound evaluation by a certified registered vascular technologist, and a thorough discussion of the findings and possible treatment plan by one of the board-certified physicians, according to vein centers.
“At Vein Centers of Connecticut, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care while treating our patients with compassion, dignity, and respect. We take time to listen to our patient’s concerns and how these may be impacting their everyday lives,” they said.
