Coronavirus case number updates for Bristol, Plymouth, Plainville, Southington

There were two more coronavirus-associated deaths reported statewide Tuesday, but none from the local area. There have been 8,156 overall virus deaths in the state.

New Britain has had 209 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 136, Newington 100, Southington 94, Plainville 37, Berlin 31 and Plymouth 10 since reporting began.

There were 14,754 coronavirus tests reported Tuesday with 409 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 2.77%. There was a decrease of nine residents hospitalized with coronavirus for an overall total of 271.

New Britain had 10 new coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has had an overall total of 9,546.

Bristol added six new coronavirus cases since Monday and has had an overall total of 5,930.

Southington had six new virus cases over the past day and has had 3,673 cases overall.

Newington had an additional two cases reported since Monday and has an overall total of 2,696.

Berlin had two additional cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 1,568.

Plainville had one new case since Monday and has an overall total of 1,563.

Plymouth had an increase of one case over the past day and has an overall total of 950.
