Plymouth police arrest alleged under the influence driver in business crash

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into the Robco Pools facility at 678 Main St. around 2 p.m. Saturday morning and then arrested a man who allegedly operated the vehicle under the influence and fled the scene after finding him at a fast food restaurant.

According to Plymouth police, William Buckley, 22, of Terryville, was located in a vehicle with heavy damage to the passenger side. He was cited with a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence, evading responsibility, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving.

Robco Pools suffered damage to the front of its structure, three vehicles as well as a dump truck, said an individual working with the business.
