NEW BRITAIN - The high school baseball season in now officially over, but players from the area are still bringing in accolades.

The CHSCA announced its All-State baseball lists with five players from the New Britain and Bristol area schools chosen across Class S, M and LL.

After finishing its season with a 19-7 record and trip to the Class S quarterfinals, St. Paul leads the way with two selections to the Class S All-State team. Ryan Greene and Julian Thayer were the Falcons picked to make the 16-player team.

Over in Class LL, New Britain’s Will Homar and Newington’s Gunnar Johnson were two of the 20 players to make All-State. As the team’s ace, Homar helped lead the Hurricanes to a 14-8 record and had a sub-1 ERA. Johnson made an impact in his first full varsity season and was chosen as a sophomore.

Bristol Eastern’s Mac Goulet was the area’s lone representative from Class L. The senior was a driving force behind the Lancers’ run to the quarterfinals this season.
