BRISTOL - With local area teams concluding their fall seasons, some players stood out in their respective sports.
As a result, they received the recognition of all-conference status for the Central Connecticut Conference.
The Bristol Central football team had a successful season with a 7-3 record, led by quarterback Dathan Hickey.
With his performance, Hickey was named to the all-conference team along with Devon Dawson, Adam Ewart, Justus Fitzpatrick, Michael Guzman, Dathan Hickey, Darrell Payton, Jakob Salinas and Gabe Updegraff.
The other area football team in the CCC, Bristol Eastern, didn’t see much success this season, but four players stood out on the field and as a result were named to the all-conference team.
Zach Giblin, Trinidad Gonzalez, Ariza Kolloverja and Jaden Laprise were all selected from the Lancers.
For the local cross country teams, Bristol Central had three runners selected and Bristol Eastern had one.
Devin Flores and Mark Petrosky received the recognition for the Rams boys, while Alex Sirko represented the girls.
Avery Braccia was named all-conference team for the Lancers’ girls.
Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern boys and girls soccer all had successful seasons and as a result, all four teams had multiple players selected all-conference.
David Bowes, Josh Cordero and Marcello Delvalle were the Bristol Central boys selected, while Ashley Macdonald, Adalia Malick and Faith Roy were the girls selected.
For Bristol Eastern, Dante Constantiello, Tom Tefoe, Lyle Winarski and Jake Woznicki were selected for the boys, while Myah Croze, Kailey Laprise, Karly Martin and Sara Tyminski received the recognition for the girls team.
Another successful sport for the area schools was girls volleyball. Both Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern reached the state tournament.
Xia’ian Carrasco, Peyton Greger and Kathryn Ross made all-conference for the Rams.
Aliana Rivoira, Sienna White and Zoe Lowe received the recognition for the Lancers.
