Sports Roundup: Croze's early second half goal lifts Bristol Eastern girls soccer in win over Plainville

BRISTOL - With the score tied 0-0 early in the second half, Bristol Eastern girls soccer’s Myah Croze got a through pass from Kailey Laprise that she put past Plainville keeper Maddie Rund.

That goal turned out to be the deciding factor in the Lancers 1-0 win on Thursday.

Bristol Eastern outshot the Blue Devils 15-6 in the game with strong defense in front of Lancers keeper Karly Martin.

Martin finished the game with four saves, only facing four shots on net.

With the win, Bristol Eastern clinched the CCC South Patriot division.

Shepaug 2, Terryville 0: The Kangaroos continued their struggles against the Spartans.

Avery Serrra’s two goals led Shepaug to a shutout victory over Terryville.

In net for the Kangaroos, Maria Cesare made eight saves.

Terryville fell to 4-10 on the season with the loss and will travel to take on Litchfield today.
