ROUNDUP: Stadnicki, Hamel stand out for Bristol girls lacrosse in loss

BRISTOL - Meghan Hamel netted three goals and Emily Stadnicki picked up a goal and two assists but the Bristol girls lacrosse co-op still fell to Northwest Catholic 12-6 on Wednesday afternoon at Bristol Eastern.

Bristol trailed by just two goals at halftime but could not come up with the necessary scoring and defense to take and hold the lead. Alyson Policarpio and Ashley Macdonald each scored a goal, while Maddie Bourassa and Gabby Abramczyk each contributed an assist.

Jess Kenney made 10 saves in net for Bristol as the co-op fell to 1-6 on the season.

Lewis Mills’ Colby Norton and Nonnewaug’s Jey Herman shared medalist honors after hitting identical scores of 40. Mike Hills from Terryville just missed out on forcing a three-way tie, shooting a 41.Christian Robinson finished second on Terryville with a score of 49 on the par-35 Pequabuck Golf Club course.
