PLYMOUTH -- Two people were injured and one needed to be extricated from a vehicle following a car crash in Plymouth Tuesday.

First responders around 10:15 p.m. were dispatched to the area of Mt. Tobe and Greystone roads for the report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Firefighters said they found an SUV on its roof with heavy damage.

One person had been able to get out of the rolled over SUV, while another was trapped inside, according to the fire department. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated the victim inside.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals for what firefighters said did not appear to be life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for some time following the crash.

Plymouth police are investigating the cause of the accident.
