PLYMOUTH - A Watertown man, accused of meeting an alleged prostitute on a website that caters to “sugar daddies” and “sugar babies,” will not be prosecuted.
Keith Labbe, 57, of Watertown, was granted a first-time offender program Thursday in Bristol Superior Court. He will be on a pretrial form of probation, known as Accelerated Rehabilitation, until May 31.
If he avoids any new arrests during his probationary period, a charge of patronizing a prostitute filed against Labbe will be dropped.
Labbe, along with Alina Stein, 24, of Bristol, were arrested Feb. 8 after they were found leaving Jay’s Motel, at 40 Main St. in Terryville.
While looking for a vehicle suspected to be involved in an unrelated matter, an officer who was checking the parking lot at Jay’s saw a man who appeared about 60 years old and a young looking female outside the motel.
After investigating, the officer found that Labbe allegedly paid for a motel room and gave Stein $150 for an unspecified sex act, police said. Police said Labbe and Stein met on seekingarrangement.com, which caters to “sugar daddies” looking to meet “sugar babies.”
Stein’s case is still pending. She has pleaded not guilty to a prostitution charge.
