Terryville Fair photography contest seeking submissions

PLYMOUTH – Anyone who wants to enter the photography contest at this year’s Terryville Lions Country Fair should drop off their photographs at 70 Bemis St., Terryville, from now through Thursday, Aug. 17.

The contest is open to all ages. Any photographs that are not properly labeled (name, address, and phone number on back) by the exhibitor will not be eligible for judging. Instagram photos will not be accepted.

All photos must be suitably matted by exhibitor. Some examples of mattes are poster board, cardboard or photo matte. No frames are allowed.

Subject categories are: still life, animals, water and landscape, action, portrait, miscellaneous. Classes are: color snapshot 4 x 6, color photo 5 x 7, color photo 8 x 10, color photo 11 x 14 and 16 x 20, black and white/sepia snapshot 4 x 6, black and white/sepia 5 x 7, black and white /sepia photo 8 x 10, black and white /sepia photo 11 x 14 & 16x 20.

The 69th annual fair will be held Friday-Sunday, Aug. 25-27, at the Terryville Lions Club Fairground, at Town Hill and Washington roads, Terryville.
