BRISTOL - Any nerves one could have about first-time buying and selling need not after one step into the office of Country Manor Realty. With chic and casual decor, one instantly falls at ease in the professional and caring hands of Karen Diamantes and her father, Bob “Semo” Siemiatkoski, co-owners of the real estate service at 508 Farmington Ave.
Established in 1974 on Collins Road in Bristol by Siemiatkoski, Country Manor Realty has been within the Bristol community for the past 45 years. Siemiatkoski, who’s been in the housing market industry since 1965, chooses quality over quantity any day of the week.
“We have an impeccable reputation,” said Siemiatkoski. “I take pride in the reputation we have from attorneys and clients. We are a boutique in the housing market. We are an independently-owned business.”
With listings around Bristol, Avon, Southington, Plymouth, Terryville, Newington, Burlington and West Hartford, Country Manor Realty stands out against corporate competitors with wide coverage from a local, family-owned real estate service.
When Diamantes was in her twenties, she was inspired by her father to join the real estate industry and left her job in Hartford. Diamantes recalled when the ‘hot’ housing market immediately plummeted upon her joining her dad’s agency.
“Sometimes I think it’s a good thing the market tanked the second I got in,” smiled Diamantes. “It actually helped me. It gave me drive and it helped me grow and survive and become a better agent.”
While Diamantes and her father have different ways of selling houses, Diamantes said she is very thankful for the amount of wisdom and knowledge he has.
“Every day is something different. We solve our own problems. It can be crazy a business sometimes, but I love it,” said Diamantes.
Diamantes had advised that in a “perfect world” listing, selling and moving into a house can take about three months.
“It’s a lot of hand holding,” said Diamantes. “We are there to help our clients every step of the way. We want them to feel comfortable during the entire process. We’re very familiar with the nervous feeling of first-time house owners, especially young couples.”
When it comes to listings, there is a lot of research and thought given to the market evaluation and pricing of their home. Country Manor Realty also helps you prepare your home for showings. Suggesting repairs, decluttering and staging advice are some of the services Country Manor Realty provides to maximize the selling price and appearance of your home. Agents at Country Manor Realty work with sellers one-on-one basis to ease them through the listing and sale process and offer extensive print advertising and online presence to promote their home.
