Murphy selects Roto Frank of America as Monday Manufacturer

CHESTER – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy recently announced that it selected Roto Frank of America Inc., as his “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.

Roto Frank of America began its 40-year-old history in Chester in 1979 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Roto Frank AG, which has headquarters in Germany.

Roto Frank of America manufactures window and door hardware as well as accessory products. The Roto Group has 18 production plants and more than 40 subsidiaries around the world. The company has manufacturing plants in 40 countries and approximately 4,900 workers.

“Roto Frank of America contributed to Connecticut’s thriving manufacturing industry,” Murphy said in the press release. “After all these years, they’ve continued to be a leader in the window and door hardware manufacturing sector. I’m very happy to help Roto celebrate 40 years in Connecticut, and look forward to working with them in the years ahead.”

Among the products offered by Roto Frank of America, Roto’s X-Drive Casement and Awning system is mainly manufactured in the Chester facility.

Locking hardware, North American and European style sliding patio doors and the Tilt&Turn hardware system for windows and doors are among the products offered by Roto Frank of America.

The company is committed to offering clients product quality and delivery performance along with technical and sales support.

Roto Frank of America is also involved in the community it serves. They provide internships to local high school students and have previously donated to the Connecticut Department of Veteran Affairs, the American Red Cross and the Saybrook Soup Kitchen among others.

The Chester plant of Roto Frank of America has more than 80 full-time employees in a 64,000 square foot facility.
