NEW MILFORD -Aldine Metal Products Corporation, a manufacturer since 1938, specializes in precision sheet metal and laser cutting services.
U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy recently announced Aldine Metal Products as his Monday Manufacturer.
The 81-year-old company provides products that can be custom crafted to the customer’s exact specifications. The company has laser-driven technology that enables the team to manufacture any metal part. Aldine Metal Products’ capability ranges from precision blanked components to formed parts including cabinets, racks, carts and consoles among other components. The company also handles large sheet metal enclosures and walk-in sized welded structures. Aldine Metal Products works with ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as brass, stainless, copper and aluminum.
Aldine Metal Products was founded in 1938 by Robert Blessey in Brooklyn, New York. The company used to primarily focus on manufacturing parts for the military procurement industry. The company also had a location in Brookfield before moving to its 27,000 square foot facility in New Milford. The company is currently operated by Robert’s grandson, Rodd, who is the president and chief operating officer, and his father, Richard, the chief executive officer of the company.
“I want to thank Aldine for their commitment to Connecticut manufacturing and their tireless workforce,” Murphy said. “For over 80 years, they’ve adapted with the times to produce quality products to maintain success in the state. I’m happy to highlight their work.”
Aldine Metal Products is also involved with the local community as it often partners with the Naugatuck Valley Community College apprenticeship program to train students involved in the manufacturing program. Some of the students have become employees of the company. Aldine Metal Products also works with CONNSTEP, Connecticut consulting firms for manufacturers as it is looking to become ISO certified. Aldine Metal Products serves as an employer to 29 full time employees.
“Aldine Metal Products has been proud to partner with companies in Connecticut and the Northeast region to produce high quality products that help our customers grow,” Rodd Blessey, president and chief operating officer of Aldine Metal Products. “The quality of our team, investment in new equipment, and additional operating and support facilities have allowed for continued growth in the state. We look forward to continuing this growth in 2019 and beyond.”
