Torrington Savings Bank hires new executive

TORRINGTON - Torrington Savings Bank has added Alan Saxena to its management team as chief risk officer and senior vice president.

Saxena comes to Torrington Savings Bank with over 20 years of multi-industry experience, including in banking, consulting, aviation and not-for-profit. Most recently, he worked at Citizens Financial Group in the central risk team on areas including enterprise risk, compliance and model risk.

In his role at Torrington Savings Bank, Saxena will be responsible for setting up an enterprise risk management system with oversight over internal audits and compliance within a centralized risk function.

Saxena is a graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics and accounting and is a certified Project Management Professional.
