NEW BRITAIN - Stanley Black & Decker recently announced that it has approved its fourth quarter dividend and that it is committed to contributing up to $150,000 for hurricane relief and rebuilding.

The New Britain headquartered company released a statement recently to inform that its board of directors approved a regular fourth quarter cash dividend of $0.66 per common share. The dividend is payable on Dec. 18 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Nov. 30.

Stanley Black & Decker also announced its collaboration for immediate disaster relief and rebuilding. The American Red Cross will receive a $50,000 donation for its relief efforts and $50,000 in Stanley, Craftsman and DeWalt tools to ToolBank Disaster Services. Stanley also will double its Employee Matching Gifts program which matches employee gifts $2 for every $1 raised to generate $50,000 more.

“Tens of thousands of Americans have been affected by the recent storms, and are in need of support and aid to get back on their feet,” Stanley Black & Decker President and CEO Jim Loree said. “Organizations such as the American Red Cross and ToolBank USA provide vital support in these critical times, and their efforts are truly inspiring.

“We are committed to improving the communities where we live and work and being a force for good, particularly during challenging times such as these. Our hearts go out to the families and their loved ones.”
