SOUTH WINDSOR - U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced Satellite Tool & Machine Co., Inc., is this week’s “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.” Satellite Tool specializes in precision tuning, milling and assembly of aircraft engine and helicopter parts. Founded in East Windsor in 1980 before relocating to South Windsor in 1996, Satellite Tool has been committed to producing quality aircraft parts and equipment.

Satellite Tool operates out of a 33,000-square-foot facility, where variety of products, such as combustors, stators and swash plates are produced daily. Under the leadership of company president Jack Lukasik, Satellite Tool maintains high customer satisfaction through their commitment to quality and value in all of their products.

“I’m proud to highlight the work Satellite Tool is doing,” Murphy said. “For almost 40 years, their skilled workers have produced quality aircraft engines and helicopter parts right here in Connecticut.”

“Satellite Tool & Machine Co., Inc. is a family-owned operation that my father started in our garage in Bristol and has become a quickly expanding operation. Since our move to South Windsor in 1996, we have grown from eight employees to 78 today, and are now projecting a continued growth through 2024 at a rate of 5% a year due to the unprecedented ramp up in the Aerospace industry,” said Jack Lukasik, President of Satellite Tool & Machine Co., Inc.

The manufacturing industry plays a crucial role throughout Connecticut communities, creating new jobs and accelerating our state’s economic recovery.

Today, Connecticut’s 4,600 manufacturers account for 10% of the state’s jobs and 87% of the state’s total exports. In order to protect and grow manufacturing jobs in Connecticut, Murphy has introduced two pieces of legislation that aim to strengthen existing standards and prioritize the purchase of American-made goods, theBuyAmerican.gov Act and the American Jobs Matter Act.
