BRISTOL - After an incredible season for the St. Paul boys lacrosse team, the Falcons dominate our 2018-19 All-Press Boys Lacrosse Team with five selections who helped them to a 13-3 record, No. 2 overall seed in the Class S state tournament and second straight WCLC regular season and tournament championships.
The Falcons are headlined by All-Press and All-State selections Brycen Kennedy, Christian Decker and Connor Bogdanski.
Kennedy is a first-team All-State honoree at attack who finished with 69 goals and 31 assists. Decker was a second-team midfielder, amassing 38 goals and 22 assists, and Bogdanski was a second-team defenseman.
Kevin Ashworth, an all-conference selection, was one of the Falcons’ top leaders who tallied 30 goals and 33 assists, and Tucker Raymond earned all-conference honors as well after finishing with 36 goals and 26 assists.
The Falcons bowed out in the Class S playoffs with a 12-11 loss to 15-seed East Catholic at home.
Bristol Eastern’s Noah Piazza rounds out our All-Press team.
Piazza, a second-year captain, was a jack of all trades for the Lancers. He played defense in addition to spending time as a midfielder and at attack this season and will be playing lacrosse at AIC next year.
“He was an excellent role model for new and younger players,” Bristol Eastern head coach Jesse Gumpert said. “He showed excellent leadership on and off the field.”
