BRISTOL - The St. Paul girls basketball continued its winning ways with a 45-29 victory over Torrington on Tuesday night.
The Falcons played strong defense, holding the Red Raiders to single digits in three of the four quarters.
St. Paul, meanwhile, had an inconsistent night offensively but did enough to come away with the win.
Led by Morgan Kolb (18 points) and Jade Udoh (11), the Falcons won their third consecutive game, showing the group still has a lot of fight left even with leading scorer Janessa Gonzalez out for the season.
St. Paul won its 13th game of the season and will get another opportunity to take on Seymour (11-4) at home Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Wildcats beat the Falcons by 20 points in the last meeting, the first game St. Paul was without Gonzalez.
