St. Paul girls basketball rolls past Crosby for easy win

BRISTOL - After the first quarter of play, the scoreboard read 19-0 and St. Paul was shutting out Crosby.

And in the end, the Falcons easily beat Crosby 55-36 Monday.

The early deficit was too much to overcome even though the Bulldogs outscored the Falcons 29-20 in the second and third quarter.

Emma Cretella and Janessa Gonzalez led the way for St. Paul as each scored 17 points.

Cretella added five steals on the night.

Jade Udoh was a force on the boards with 14 rebounds.

Tiana Pollian-Bishop was the leading scorer in the game with 25 points for Crosby.

The Falcons move to 2-0 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 1-1.

St. Paul will travel to take on Woodland (1-0) tonight at 7 p.m.
