St. Paul girls basketball starts season out with win over Waterbury Career Academy

WATERBURY - Coming off of a strong season last year, the St. Paul girls basketball team made sure to start off the 2017-18 campaign on the right foot.

The Falcons travelled to Waterbury Career Academy and came out strong, playing two good halves of basketball leading to the 64-37 win in the first game of the season.

Morgan Kolb led the Falcons with 18 points.

Janessa Gonzalez scored nine points in the first quarter for the Falcons and finished second on the team in scoring with 11 points.

Jade Udoh was the third Falcons player in double digits with 10 points in the game.

St. Paul will host Crosby in its first home game of the season Friday night at 7 p.m.
