WATERBURY - The St. Paul boys soccer team picked up a shutout on the road Friday afternoon, defeating Wilby 2-0.
The game was even until the Falcons broke away on a goal scored by Adam Van Linter, off an assist from Patrick Carbone.
St. Paul scored one more time before the half on goal from Ethan Rembish, assisted by Van Linter.
The Falcons’ defense remained solid as no goals were scored in the second half.

The Lancers improved to 4-6-3, while RHAM is now 5-5-3.
“Both teams played solid defense and the shots were limited,” coach Bill Sweet said. “I was especially pleased with our backs, notably Dante Costantiello, Tanner Tefoe and Gabe Soucy. Ben Chiasson provided a spark up front on attack.”

Madison Thiel made two saves for East Catholic (9-4-1), while Karly Martin stopped seven shots for Bristol Eastern (6-7-1).
