ROUNDUP: St. Paul boys soccer can't contain Woodland Regional's offense in loss

BRISTOL- The St. Paul boys soccer team fell short to Woodland Regional Thursday afternoon.

The Hawks had an early lead on the Falcons and never looked back. St. Paul lost 7-2.

Woodland scored four goals before the Falcons’ Mathew Goodwin put one in the back of the net.

At the beginning of the second half the Falcons were able to score again on a goal by Adam Vanlinter with an assist from Ethan Rembish.

Woodland , however, scored three more goals before the end of the game. Senol Music, two goals from Andrew Spofford (2), Juliano Damelico, Maciej Lwecski and Cole Barrows all scored for Woodland.

Mathew Raymond played in goal for the Falcons, racking up 9 saves. Woodlands keeper made a total of 6 saves.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Terryville 3, Crosby 1: Lauren Jacobs had seven kills, an ace, four assists and one block, while teammates Martina Trovato (12 kills, one dig, a block and an ace) and Alyssa Prosso (six kills, four digs, six aces and an assist) also played well. The Kangaroos improve their record 4-2.
