ROUNDUP: Terryville baseball has seven-run sixth, cruises to win over Wamogo

TERRYVILLE - It didn’t take long for the Terryville baseball team to all but sure up a win.

The Kangaroos took the lead with a three-run second inning and never looked back, beating Wamogo handedly 11-1 Saturday afternoon.

After neither team was able to do much over the next three innings, Terryville added seven more runs to its total in the bottom of the sixth.

Brad Kozikowski earned the win after giving up the one run in four innings of work. Josh Wright then came on in relief in the fifth and tossed three shutout innings. Womago never stood a chance.

At the plate, Shawn Fulton collected three hits for the Kangaroos, two of which went for extra bases (a double and a triple). He also drove in two runs and scored twice. Teammate Adam Sprague hit drove in two runs as well and hit two doubles.

Terryville is now 5-4.

GIRLS TENNIS

St. Paul 7, Crosby 0: It was an easy afternoon for the Falcons, who moved to 7-2 on the season. Victoria Kilbourne, Orenda Huang, Kamila Krawczuk and Sophia Penisse won singles matches for St. Paul.
