Ella Nadeau set new school records for the Southington girls swimming team during the Connecticut State Open Meet at the Cornerstone Aquatic Center in West Hartford on Sunday.

Nadeau was the only Blue Knights swimmer to qualify as an individual while the 200 free relay team and the 400 free relay team also competed.

In the individual medley, Nadeau finished in 20th place in a time of 2:10.97. In the 500 free, Nadeau grabbed 12th place in 5:13.49 to break her own school record in both events.

Also part of each relay team, Southington's star sophomore had a busy day in the pool during its last meet of the season.

Nadeau, Alexis Strong, Julia Laszewski and Kendall Noonan tied for 19th place in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:42.63, while the 400 relay team of Nadeau, Laszweski, Noonan and Emma Jekubovich took 17th place in 3:44.71.

The Blue Knights earned 27th place overall as a team with 49 points. Greenwich won the meet with 505.5 points that included 49 teams in total.
