St. Paul had a successful ground game but Kevin Ashworth threw his first passing touchdown of the season to Max Peruta in the Falcons 26-8 win over Torrington.

Damien Rabis scored two rushing touchdowns, a 45-yard run and a three-yard run.

Connor Bogdanski had a 50-yard touchdown run for St. Paul.

The only offense for Torrington was in the air on a 84-yard touchdown pass.

St. Paul moves to 5-0 on the season going into the bye.

Southington 45, Hall 0: The Blue Knights dominated the game, particularly in the first half, scoring 31 of their 45 points.

Will Barmore completed 12 of his 22 passes for 255 yards along with two touchdowns and an interception. Tim O’Shea was the leading receiver for Southington, catching three passes for 65 yards, the longest of which was a 51-yard touchdown for the game’s first score. Jimmy Ringrose later hauled in a 57-yard pass for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Tanner LaRosa was the leading rusher with 10 carries for 32 yards and a touchdown.

The Blue Knights mvoe to 5-0 heading into their bye week.

Simsbury 17, New Britain 7: New Britain’s third quarter touchdown wasn’t enough to come back after Simsbury got off to an early 17-0 lead in the first half and hung on to beat the Golden Hurricanes 17-7.
