SOUTHINGTON – The police department is looking to hire emergency dispatchers.
Police said they are seeking a full-time and per diem public safety dispatcher to work in the Southington Police Department Communications Division.
According to police, the positions pay $29.09 for part time and $32.93 for full time. A union benefit package is also available.
The qualifications for holding the position include having a high school diploma or a G.E.D. and a driver’s license. Those applying must also be a citizen of the U.S.
Candidates must take a Connecticut Police Chiefs Association written test or have a test score within six months of applying. Scores of 70% or more are required.
The deadline to apply for the positions is Aug. 5.
