SOUTHINGTON – Tammy Williams, managing partner of The Fresh Monkee, said she prides herself on a positive customer service relationship.

“We love our customers and appreciate them on a daily basis,” Williams said.

Williams said the smoothie bar offers protein shakes, green drinks, fruit cups, healthy snacks, wellness shots and pre-workout beverages.

“There’s no fake sugar, no squirts of fake stuff,” Williams said.

The Southington community has responded positively to The Fresh Monkee, Williams said.

“They’ve been awesome,” she said. “There was nothing remotely similar in town so Southington has been very receptive to us.”

According to Williams, a customer favorite is the Chunky Monkey and strawberry shake.

Williams said when she discovered The Fresh Monkee, she was fascinated. She said she reached out to Judy Flynn, the founder of the smoothie bar, and suggested a partnership.

“I asked if she was willing to try this as a partnership for a Southington location,” Williams said. “So yeah, that’s how Southington came about.”

Williams said The Fresh Monkee is busier during the summer. According to Williams, the smoothie bar also has an uptake in customers around New Year’s.

“[The Fresh Monkee] is my baby,” she said.

The Fresh Monkee is located at 405 Queen St, Southington.
