SOUTHINGTON -- A local man is facing a public indecency charge after allegedly exposing himself outside a Southington McDonald’s.

Gary Germaine, 64, was allegedly seen last Thursday applying lotion to his hands before he began masturbating inside his vehicle, according to police. A witness said he pulled into the parking lot around 8 p.m., looked directly at the witness with his penis out and began masturbating, police said.

Police said the witness was able to get a photo of both the suspect and his vehicle.

According to police, this incident was similar to one that occurred in March.

Police said Germaine denied exposing himself. He was not charged during the March incident, judicial records indicate.

Police noted that Germaine was evasive during the investigation.

He has been charged with one misdemeanor count of public indecency.

Germaine is free without having to post bond. He is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court next Thursday for an arraignment hearing.
