SOUTHINGTON - Southington Public Library’s Artist of the Month for November is Tim Wilk, a local photographer with a lifelong love of the medium.

“For as long as I can remember I’ve had an interest in photography,” said Wilk. “As a kid (and adult) I couldn’t resist flipping through Life Magazine’s, The Year in Pictures while in line at the grocery store. At the library it was National Geographic that captivated me. Today, between social media and the capabilities of cell phones, there is so much inspiring work to pour over. I love how a photo can provoke so much emotion. I enjoy candid photos, landscapes, and my kids’ sports. For years I’ve been talking about taking my photography more seriously. Putting my work on display at the library was a leap of faith for me. I’m hoping that it will be the catalyst to take me to the next level. “I post infrequently on jpgmag.com and National Geographic your shot. I hope you enjoy the photos.”

The Gallery is located on the main level near the Café.
