Motorcycle crash claims life of Southington man

NEW BRITAIN - A Southington man is dead after his motorcycle veered into a guard rail on Route 9 over the weekend.

Connecticut State Police Troop H identified the victim as 47-year-old Brian Kleinhen.

Kleinhen was traveling south on Route 9 when he crashed around 3:30 p.m. near exit 28.

Police closed the highway for the next four hours while they responded to the scene.

His motorcycle collided with the metal guardrail on a curve on the right side of the highway.
