PLAINVILLE - A Southington woman was arrested early Friday for allegedly crashing into a Plainville home while intoxicated.

Dineen Nimchek, 50, is facing charges of driving under the influence and making an improper turn.

According to the police report, Nimchek, shortly after midnight, was driving a Subaru Outback south on Red Stone Hill when she failed to negotiate a turn and crashed into a home on Town Line Road. The vehicle went through an outdoor porch that was connected to the home, police said.

Two people were home when the collision happened, but they were not hurt. Nimchek did not report any injuries either.

According to the report, Nimchek failed the standard field sobriety tests and registered a 0.27 and a 0.26 blood alcohol content when she took a breathalyzer test. The legal limit to drive in Connecticut is 0.08.

Police said Nimchek admitted she had been drinking wine before the crash. She was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is expected to be arraigned in Bristol Superior Court on Jan. 8.
