Historical Society ornaments still for sale

SOUTHINGTON - Christmas ornaments continue to be sold at the Southington Historical Society.

The ornaments featured include red or blue showing the First Congregational Church downtown or the town hall.

The Historical Society has been selling the exclusive ornaments at various community events and currently continues to make them available for $13 each at the Barnes Museum, Southington Chamber of Commerce office, town clerk’s office, Southington Community Cultural Arts building, Vintage from the Heart on Center Street and at the society’s building on Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. Ornament stands are also being sold for $3.

The Historical Society building is located at the corner of Main Street and Meriden Ave. Volunteer members contribute time and fundraising to preserve artifacts and memorabilia from the town’s past. Tours are available by contacting the organization or visiting southingtonhistory.org.
