SOUTHINGTON – Police investigated a report of an anti-Semitic social media post Friday but made no arrests, Lt. Stephen Elliott said.

Police provided few details about the incident but said the case involved juveniles and no arrests were made.

Elliott said the police department received information about a social media post that contained anti-Semitic content Friday and an investigation ensued. The Superintendent of Schools was dealing with the incident, Elliott said. The Superintendent did not return phone calls Tuesday.

In recent months the police department has also been investigating who left flyers with racist content on sign posts and utility poles in October. No arrests were made in that case.
