SOUTHINGTON - A Hartford woman has been accused of forging a prescription to fraudulently obtain drugs.
Jessica Pinot, 37, turned herself in on Sunday after learning that there was a warrant out for her arrest, stemming from a Southington investigation. She has been charged with second-degree forgery and obtaining a controlled substance by use of a forged prescription.
Police on Monday said the investigation revealed Pinot obtained drugs in August using a forged prescription at a local pharmacy. Investigators did not divulge further details about the case, including the specific type of drug involved.
Pinot has been released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned next Monday in Bristol Superior Court.
