Southington 9/11 ceremony to be held at Plantsville memorial

SOUTHINGTON - The annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony will be held Sept. 11 at the memorial in Plantsville.

The service will be held at the memorial which stands on the corner of Summer Street and Main Street. It will take place at 8:46 a.m., the time that the terrorist attacks occurred.

Members of the Knights of Columbus, the Fire and Police Departments, Town Officials and residents will hold the service to remember and honor those who lost their lives Sept. 11 2011 at The World Trade Center, The Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.

The public is invited to attend this service in Plantsville. Those who wish to attend should plan on arriving at 8:30 a.m. to ensure that parking is available.
