PLYMOUTH – The Eli Terry Jr. Middle School PTA is organizing a craft fair featuring a multitude of vendors and a visit from the Easter Bunny for Saturday, April 2.
The craft fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the school at 21 N. Main St. The new craft fair will feature more than 50 vendors and families are also welcome to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. There will also be raffle prizes to win from sponsors.
Charlene Clayton, from the Eli Terry Jr. Middle School PTA, said that fundraisers were canceled for a long time due to the pandemic. Now, the PTA is looking to find creative new ways to help support students.
“If people come out to support the craft fair, it stops parents from having to foot the bill all the time,” she said. “Money raised will help kids to attend field trips, have ‘fun days’ at school and have a proper 8th grade celebration.”
Clayton said that she is grateful for the amounts of vendors who have stepped up to participate in the craft fair. Recently, she was also able to secure a food truck from Harwinton.
“It has gotten a lot of support; we’re super excited to be able to offer this for the community,” she said.
Clayton and other PTA members have been posting flyers “everywhere” to help get the word out, as well as spreading the word on community pages for local cities and towns on social media. She encouraged those who can make it to attend.
“Let’s help support the local vendors who are coming out to support our children,” she said.
Vendors will be offering a variety of items, including candles, home décor, soaps, Avon, LuLaRoe, wood working, jewelry, crocheted items, Scentsy, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One bags, custom art, Vic’s Balloon Creations and Color Street.
There will also be face painting and other fun activities as well as Easter items.
