PLYMOUTH -- Police are asking residents in a small part of town to stay inside while they conduct an investigation.

Police around 6 p.m. said they are investigating an "ongoing incident" in the area of South Main Street and Lane Hill. They did not release any information about what type of incident it is.

"The police department is asking residents to stay inside their homes at this time," police said in a statement. "If you see a suspicious person/persons do not confront them. Call 911 to report."
