Bristol has six new coronavirus cases; plus area case number updates

New Britain had nine new coronavirus cases, while Bristol added six, according to state health officials Friday. There was one coronavirus-associated death statewide, bringing that total to 8,275.

New Britain has had 215 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 137, Newington 101, Southington 97, Plainville 38, Berlin 32 and Plymouth 11 since reporting began.

There were 28,755 coronavirus tests reported Friday with 127 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 0.44%. There was an increase of two in residents hospitalized with coronavirus for an overall total of 36. There are 11 covid patients currently in Hartford County hospitals, two less than Thursday.

New Britain had nine coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 9,697.

Bristol had six coronavirus cases since Thursday and has an overall total of 6,031.

Southington had a decrease of one virus case over the past day and has 3,712 cases overall.

Newington had two virus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 2,723.

Berlin had three new virus cases and has an overall total of 1,588.

Plainville had no change in virus cases since Wednesday and has an overall total of 1,598.

Plymouth had an increase of three in virus cases over the past day and has an overall total of 968.
