Over two million state residents have been full vaccinated against coronavirus. The state has vaccinated 2,032,271 people, with 2,244,254 total first doses being administered to date, according to state health officials Thursday.
For those 65 and over, 95% of residents have been administered at least one dose of the vaccines. For those between the ages of 55 and 64, 85% have received a shot; for those between 45 and 54, 74% have received a dose; for those between 35 and 44, 69% have received a dose; for those between 25-34, 60% have received a dose; for those between 18 and 24, 56% have received a dose; for those between 16 and 17, 63% have received a dose; and for those between 12 and 15, 44% have received at least one dose.
The state also updated its coronavirus alert status Thursday. Prospect, Bolton and Somers are the only cities or towns in the state in “Yellow Alert” when it comes to coronavirus cases. Last week, only Bolton was marked as such.
There were three coronavirus-associated deaths reported statewide over the past day, including one resident of Newington, and there have been a total of 8,274 deaths overall.
New Britain has had 215 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 137, Newington 101, Southington 97, Plainville 38, Berlin 32 and Plymouth 11 since reporting began.
There were 30,775 coronavirus tests reported Thursday with 153 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 0.5%. There was an increase of five in residents hospitalized with coronavirus for an overall total of 34. There are 13 covid patients currently in Hartford County hospitals, four more than Wednesday.
New Britain had six coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 9,688.
Bristol had one coronavirus cases since Wednesday and has an overall total of 6,025.
Southington has had two virus case over the past day and has 3,713 cases overall.
Newington had one virus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 2,721.
Berlin had zero new virus cases for seven straight reports and has an overall total of 1,585.
Plainville had no change in virus cases since Wednesday and has an overall total of 1,598.
Plymouth had an increase of one in virus cases over the past day and has an overall total of 965.
