Coronavirus case number updates for Bristol, Plymouth, Plainville, Southington

There were two coronavirus-associated deaths reported Tuesday, a day after none were reported over the weekend, according to state health officials. There have been 8,271 virus associated deaths overall.

New Britain has had 215 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 137, Newington 100, Southington 97, Plainville 38, Berlin 32 and Plymouth 11 since reporting began.

There were 8,242 coronavirus tests reported Tuesday with 45 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 0.55%. There was an increase of one in residents hospitalized with coronavirus for an overall total of 35. There are 11 covid patients currently in Hartford County hospitals, one less than Monday.

New Britain had no coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 9,682.

Bristol had an increase of two in coronavirus cases since Monday and has an overall total of 6,024.

Southington has had zero virus case since Friday and has 3,710 cases overall.

Newington had zero virus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 2,720.

Berlin had zero new virus cases for five straight reports and has an overall total of 1,585.

Plainville had an increase of two in virus cases since Monday and has an overall total of 1,597.

Plymouth had a decrease of one in virus cases over the past day and has an overall total of 964.
