State has zero coronavirus-associated deaths over weekend; plus area case number updates

There were zero coronavirus-associated deaths reported over the weekend, according to state health officials. There have been 8,269 virus associated deaths overall.

New Britain has had 215 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 137, Newington 100, Southington 97, Plainville 38, Berlin 32 and Plymouth 11 since reporting began.

There were 23,001 coronavirus tests reported since Friday with 92 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 0.4%. There was an increase of one in residents hospitalized with coronavirus for an overall total of 34. There are 12 covid patients currently in Hartford County hospitals, three less than Friday.

New Britain had a decrease of three in coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has an overall total of 9,682.

Bristol had an increase of three in coronavirus cases since the weekend and has an overall total of 6,022.

Southington had zero virus case over the weekend and has 3,710 cases overall.

Newington had an increase of three in virus cases reported over the weekend and has an overall total of 2,720.

Berlin had zero new virus cases for four straight reports and has an overall total of 1,585.

Plainville had no changes in virus cases since last Wednesday and has an overall total of 1,595.

Plymouth had an increase of two in virus cases over the weekend and has an overall total of 965.
