Connecticut's covid-19 cases grow over 80,000

Bristol reports over 1000 confirmed covid-19 cases, as New Britain reports 52 new ones. Connecticut’s cases are now above 80,000 Monday.

There were 89,686 tests reported by state health officials, with 3,338 new positive cases confirmed and probable, which a 3.72% positivity. The state’s total now stands at 81,463 cases.

There were 27 deaths reported since Friday, bringing Connecticut’s coronavirus death count to 4,698.

94 new people were hospitalized with covid-19 according to the latest update from state health officials. Total hospitalizations now stand at 496.

Bristol had 1044 confirmed cases of the virus and 47 probable.

New Britain reported 2111 positive cases, with 144 probable.

Southington had 596 reported cases, with 53 probable cases.

Newington had 637 confirmed cases and 33 probable.

Berlin is up to 291 confirmed cases, with 24 probable.

Plainville has reported 281 confirmed cases, and has 19 probable.

Plymouth is up to 131 confirmed cases, with 12 probable.
