PLYMOUTH AMERICAN LEGION POST 20

PLYMOUTH – American Legion Post 20 has announced Halloween events for the month of October.

On Oct. 24, the post will be taking registration for the “Spooktacular Plymouth Picture Scavenger Hunt.” Participants will pick up a picture paddle at American Legion Post 20 at 1 p.m. Then, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, the scavenger list will be posted on facebook.com/plymouthpost20. A sealed envelope will be opened at the same time at the post that contains copies of the list. Participants will try to find as many items as they can on the list and take pictures of each one with their paddle in the picture.

Each item will be assigned a point value. The individual or team with the most points wins. Besides Halloween-themed items, participants will also have to find items connected to Plymouth’s History. The final check-in with judges will be between 7 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Post. The line closes sharply at 8 p.m. A cash prize will be awarded to the top point earner. There will be a tiebreaker event in the case of a tie.

Also on Oct. 24, at 6 p.m., the post will have a “Trick of Trunk” event for children and youth, who will be able to trick or treat and take candy from car trunks. Participating vehicles must be in the parking lot before 5 p.m. for decorating. Candy donations will be gladly accepted.

American Legion Post 20 is also organizing a Halloween party for Oct. 30 from 7 p.m. until closing. There will be a costume contest, games and music.
