Bristol has small rise in coronavirus cases, plus area updates

New Britain has another five residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus Thursday, according to state health officials. The city is up to 1,682 confirmed and 64 probable cases overall.

Bristol had an increase of one probable case Thursday, moving to 781 confirmed and 21 probable cases.

After having an increase of four confirmed coronavirus cases Wednesday, Newington had a decrease of two in that category Thursday. The town has had 484 confirmed and 22 probable virus cases.

Southington had one additional resident confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus for totals that stand at 4223 confirmed and 18 probable.

Plainville gained back the confirmed coronavirus case it lost Wednesday. The town has had 209 confirmed and three probable cases.

Berlin and Plymouth had no changes Thursday.

Berlin remained at 218 confirmed and 13 probable cases, while Plymouth stayed at 85 confirmed and five probable cases.

Statewide, there were 15,817 tests reported Thursday with 213 coming back as positive cases. There were three coronavirus-associated deaths reported for a total of 4,540. There were three additional patients hospitalized with coronavirus. There are currently 191 patients hospitalized with coronavirus.
