Nearly 20 Bristol residents confirmed as testing positive for coronavirus, plus area updates

New Britain had an additional 24 residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus, plus another three that are considered probable over the weekend, according to data released by state health officials Monday. The city has now had 1,657 confirmed and 63 probable virus cases overall.

Bristol had 18 additional residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend. The city is up to 767 confirmed and 18 probable cases of the virus since reporting began.

Newington went up by 13 in residents confirmed as testing positive for the virus, with another one added as a probable case. The town’s totals are up to 479 confirmed and 22 probable cases.

Southington added five confirmed cases of the virus among residents, plus two considered probable over the weekend for totals that now stand at 417 confirmed and 18 probable cases.

Berlin had one additional resident confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus, plus another considered probable over the weekend for totals that now stand at 215 confirmed and 11 probable.

Plainville had two additional residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus plus another one considered probable over the weekend. The town has had 205 confirmed and three probable cases of the virus in all.

Plymouth had one more resident confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus since Friday. The town has had 85 confirmed and five probable cases overall.

Statewide there were 77,261 coronavirus tests reported with 1,066 coming back as positive cases. There were two additional deaths reported for a total of 4,532. There were an additional 21 patients hospitalized with coronavirus for a total of 155.
