PLYMOUTH - Police arrested an 80-year-old man overnight and accused him of driving under the influence with a gun in his vehicle.

Daniel Morrone faces charges of operating under the influence, illegal possession of a weapon under the influence and failure to maintain lane.

According to police, Morrone was seen in the overnight hours driving east on Main Street in an erratic manner. Police pulled him over and believed he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Morrone had a registered gun in the car, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Morrone was released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on April 22.
