PLYMOUTH - The Plymouth Historical Society will lead a lantern tour of the Plymouth Burying Ground on Saturday, Oct. 21, and Saturday, Oct. 28.
Discover how the symbols and inscriptions on the gravestones provide clues to life in Colonial Connecticut. The walk includes a safe house on the Underground Railroad, with a visit to a secret passageway used by slaves escaping to freedom. Participants should bring flashlights.
Participants will meet at 7 p.m. in front of the Congregational Church, 10 Park St., Plymouth. There will be complimentary refreshments at “Antiques at the Green” after the tour.
