BLOOMFIELD - Goodwin Tech and MLC girls soccer tied Wednesday night, ending the match locked at 3-3.

Goodwin had scores from Ericka Aponte and Jillian Yezierski, who scored twice. Yezierski and Dezarya Trusty each had an assist as well.

In goal, Arianna White had five saves for Goodwin.

Girls swimming and diving

Farmington 88, Southington 80: Southington suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday, losing to Farmington 88-80.

The 200 free relay team of Ella Nadeau, Mariam Labadze, Julia Laszewski and Alexis Strong finished first in a time of 1:48.54. Laszewski was also first in the 200 free at 2:06.83.

Nadeau was the only individual to go home a winner in two races, winning the individual medley at a time of 2:15.15 and the 100 breast stroke at 1:12.78.

Girls cross country

Berlin 22, Plainville 33: Berlin girls cross country beat Plainville Wednesday, winning 22-33 at Plainville Middle School.

Natalia Kmita of Berlin won the race outright, clocking a time of 22:10.

Behind Kmita was Nadia Malec in third, Taylor Desmarais in fourth, Nina Garofalo in sixth and Claudia Jankovich in eighth.

The meet win for the Berlin girls ends their regular season at 7-0. They’ll get a layoff until Oct. 19, where the Redcoats will race at Wickham Park in Manchester in the CCC South Championship race.
