Hundreds of youth soccer players and fans were able to learn from some of the top players of the New England Revolution on the pitch two weeks ago.
As part of the Summer Clinic Series in Hartford, hosted by Santander Bank on Aug. 15 at Trinity College, area residents such as Aidan Benn of Plainville got to see up close some of the Revolution’s best.
That includes midfielders Scott Caldwell, Nicolas Firmino, DeJuan Jones; goalkeepers Cody Cropper and Brad Knighton; and Revolution Academy coaches. The professional players and coaches led the youth players in skills clinics, drills, demonstrations and instructions.
And along with meeting Revolution stars, fans enjoyed photo and autograph opportunities, games and more, all as a way to promote community involvement on the pitch.
“At Santander, we are always looking for ways to support our communities, and we are proud to use soccer as a vehicle to connect with families while being active, having fun and promoting respect on and off the field,” said Barbara Glasser, Santander Bank’s chief marketing officer. “We are happy to join the Revolution in providing this priceless opportunity for fans across New England to engage with their favorite players on the field this summer.”
